Role Overview
As our SEO Manager, you'll own and execute LegalBison's SEO strategy end-to-end. This is not a pure "strategy only" role – we are looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting directly involved with on-page optimization, link building, technical SEO, and content guidance.
You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing and content team to drive measurable growth in organic traffic, rankings, and lead generation, while also exploring the emerging field of LLM optimization (optimizing content for AI and large language model visibility).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy across multiple service pages and jurisdictions.
- Perform hands-on on-page optimization: meta data, headings, internal linking, schema markup, and structured snippets.
- Lead and execute link building campaigns – from outreach to negotiation to placement.
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to guide content strategy and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage technical SEO audits and implement fixes (site speed, indexation, crawlability, structured data).
- Collaborate with content creators to ensure consistent SEO best practices across all assets.
- Monitor performance and prepare monthly SEO reports with actionable insights.
- Stay on top of algorithm updates, AI/LLM integration into search, and proactively adapt our strategy.
- Experiment with new approaches to LLM optimization to position LegalBison as a visible, trusted source in AI-powered search results.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in SEO roles, ideally in B2C/B2B or professional services.
- Demonstrated success in link building and outreach campaigns.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge
- Comfortable using SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4, Plausible).
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to guide decision-making.
- Self-starter, proactive, and not afraid to get hands dirty.
- Strong interest in the future of SEO - particularly AI, search engines, and LLM optimization.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with structured data and advanced schema implementation.
- Proficiency in English language.

- Experience with international SEO (multi-language/multi-domain).
- Background in compliance, legal, or fintech industries.
