About the role

Melaka International School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Islamic Studies Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. As an Islamic Studies Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and enriching lessons that inspire students to deepen their understanding of Islamic faith, culture, and values. This full-time position is based in the historic city of Melaka.

What you'll be doing

1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the school's Islamic studies curriculum
2. Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students' spiritual, moral, and intellectual growth
3. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals
4. Collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience for students
5. Participating in school events and activities that promote Islamic values and cultural awareness
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, educational trends, and best practices in the field of Islamic studies

What we're looking for

1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Studies, Theology, or a related field
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Islamic Studies in a primary & secondary school setting
3. Strong knowledge of Islamic history, principles, and teachings, as well as the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to students
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds
5. A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
6. A passion for education and a desire to contribute to the holistic development of students
