Job Summary

The Project Manager – Software Development is responsible for leading, planning, executing, and delivering software development projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project risks, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Create detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure best practices in software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with stakeholders regarding project status, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure quality standards are met through effective testing, documentation, and version control.
  • Facilitate collaboration between developers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
  • Manage change requests and ensure proper documentation.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Project Manager in software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Technical background in software development or engineering.
  • Experience in SaaS, mobile apps, or enterprise software projects.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
