PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Specifying and selecting manual valves and piping material
  • Selecting and specifying mechanical equipment
  • Review of layout and piping design
  • Development of construction packages
  • Participating in Hazards reviews
  • Development of detail project cost and schedule
  • Negotiate, resolve differences and direct work of detail designers and construction personnel
  • Trouble shooting and start up support
  • Understanding of the requirements of APCI standards, specifications, local building codes .
  • Readily applies basic engineering principals to solve project design problems.
  • A generalist in most engineering disciplines.
  • Report to management on project status and costs and issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Min. 5-8 years of project management and design engineering experience in industrial gas/chemical/petro-chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with Mechanical and piping engineering would be the preferred background.
  • Competency in personal computer skills including MS word, MS Excel, Access, SAP, MS Project and Outlook.
  • Willing to travel and work weekend when necessary.
