RESPONSIBILITIES

Attending to legal matters pertaining to the firm and clients' intellectual property.

Attending to all matters pertaining to trademark and copyright, including their formalities, searches, drafting filing particulars, prosecution and/or opposition matters

Attending to filings, responses and correspondence with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO).

Attending to clients' queries and correspondences, including rendering of opinion.

Monitoring and fulfilling deadlines.

Supervise a small team of staff.

Attending to general paperwork of the files.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualified as an advocate & solicitor in Malaysia i.e. called to the High Court of Malaya.

Qualification as a Registered Malaysian Trademark Agent is an added advantage.

At least 2 years of working experience in IP, including proven experience in the handling of trademark prosecution, opposition and legal work.

Excellent written and spoken English. Written and spoken Mandarin skills are preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
