Business Development Manager, Malaysia

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives. Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
- Identify and target potential customer in the logistics sector through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Hunt and win new opportunities with a focus on small and medium size customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including shippers, freight forwarders, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Understand customers' needs and develop customized solutions to meet their transportation and logistics requirements.
- Drive the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Prepare quotes and RFQs, offer best solutions according to customer's needs and in close collaboration with Operational team.
- Input and timely update of sales activities utilizing CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Experience & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in business development, with a minimum of [2] years of experience in sales, preferably in the logistics industry
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and transportation services.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close sales deals effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
