About the role

Legendary Confinement Center Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at our family in Salak South, Kuala Lumpur. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our postpartum mother and newborn, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their stay with us. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.

Duty and responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring Health: Nurses monitor the health of postpartum mothers and newborns, including vital signs, symptoms of complications, and overall well-being.
  2. Assessment and Evaluation: They assess the physical and emotional status of mothers and babies, identifying any signs of distress or complications.
  3. Providing Care: Nurses provide hands-on care such as assisting with breastfeeding and pumping
  4. Educating Patients: They educate new mothers on topics such as newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, postpartum recovery, and signs of potential health issues.
  5. Supporting Families: Nurses offer emotional support and guidance to new mothers and their families, addressing concerns and providing reassurance during the postpartum period.
  6. Collaborating with Healthcare Team: They work closely with paediatrician, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and babies.
  7. Maintaining Records: Nurses maintain accurate medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and mother progress.
  8. Emergency Response: They are trained to respond effectively to medical emergencies that may arise during postpartum period, providing immediate care and coordinating with other healthcare providers as needed.
  9. Promoting Wellness: Nurses promote maternal and infant wellness through health promotion activities, such as encouraging proper nutrition, rest, and exercise.
  10. Ensuring Safety: Nurses ensure a safe environment for mothers and babies, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or risks.

What we're looking for

  1. A registered nurse (Ladies) with active nursing license in Malaysia
  2. Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided. Candidates with relevant experience will be at an advantage.
  3. Good attitude and responsible, demonstrate good personality, good communication skills, and problem-solving.
  4. Demonstrate comprehensive nursing knowledge and skills. Able to educate, guide and coach mother and family members.
  5. Passionate, dedicated, and willing to be on-call to assist clients or staff after duty hours.
  6. Able to work on night shift, weekend and public holiday
  7. Ability to converse effectively in English, Malay and Chinese (Added advantage)
  8. Strong clinical skills, including the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with postpartum mother and their families
  10. Flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
