Job Summary:

The Waiter is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling billing transactions, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This position combines front-line service with cashiering and hosting duties to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Service & Hosting:

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
  • Maintain a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Manage waiting lists and assist in seating arrangements during peak hours.

Order Taking & Service:

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen promptly.
  • Serve food and drinks according to company standards.
  • Check on guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Clear tables efficiently and prepare for the next guests.

Cashiering:

  • Handle billing and payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate the POS system, process cash, credit card, and e-wallet payments.
  • Ensure proper cash handling, balance daily sales, and prepare shift reports.
  • Maintain records of orders, receipts, and payments in an organized manner.

Cleanliness & Upkeep:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of dining and cashier areas.
  • Ensure tables, chairs, menus, and utensils are clean and presentable.
  • Follow restaurant's hygiene and food safety standards at all times.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth order flow.
  • Communicate guest feedback and operational issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Support other team members when required, especially during peak hours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in restaurant service or similar role (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Pleasant personality, well-groomed, and customer-oriented.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Multitasking and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract, Internship, Fresh graduate

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM1, RM2,300.00 per month
