Job Summary

We're looking for a
Database Administrator
to support our team in
Kuala Lumpur

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, DM/Dameng).
  • Ensure database performance, availability, reliability, and security.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Deploy and manage databases on cloud platforms (AWS, Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud).
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins for database automation.
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python for automation, monitoring, and backend processes.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least
    5–6 years
    of professional database administration experience.
  • Strong proficiency in
    MySQL
    and
    MongoDB
    database principles and optimization.
  • Experience with
    AWS database services
    (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB) and cloud platforms (Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent).
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Proficiency in
    Python
    for scripting and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good command of English; able to work in a multicultural team environment.
