Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager at Tune Hotel KLIA2 is responsible for overseeing all hotel maintenance operations, ensuring the property's systems, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained and running efficiently. This role includes supervising the maintenance team, planning preventive maintenance, managing contractors, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the hotel's maintenance operations, covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
  • Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and equipment efficiently.
  • Oversee and liaise with external contractors for specialized work.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets and track maintenance expenses.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize guest inconvenience.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security to maintain smooth hotel operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel maintenance experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and mechanical).
  • Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on and proactive in maintenance operations.
  • Able to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
