About the role

Sibu Specialist Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Internal Medicine Specialist / Medical Doctor (Internal Medicine) to join our dynamic team in Sibu, Sarawak. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a well-established private medical facility and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing comprehensive internal medicine care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
  2. Conducting thorough patient examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualised treatment plans
  3. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and specialists, to ensure coordinated and seamless patient care
  4. Participating in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and procedures to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care
  5. Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, and adhering to all relevant medical and legal requirements
  6. Actively contributing to the ongoing education and professional development of the medical team

What we're looking for

  1. A medical degree and full registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
  2. Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of post-specialist experience
  3. Strong clinical skills in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of internal medicine conditions
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
  5. A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centred care and continuously improving the quality of services
  6. Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (Malay)
