Assistant Manager, Global Business

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Business Development through penetration into New Prospect clients leveraging on Sompo Japan worldwide network, exploring Existing Clients reference and others alternative channel opportunities.

Servicing existing corporate clients by overseeing all their insurance needs which include all related marketing activities from coverage review, policies renewal & attend to all their concern and queries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

  1. To support and complete all assignment and project assign by HOD towards high growth of business for the department and ensure that the team's budget is achieved.
  2. Maintain effective and efficient communication with Sompo Japan and all business partners' worldwide networks for the interest of business development.
  3. Rendering good service to all clients via prompt response, ensuring timely settlement of claim, proper arrangement of insurance coverage, providing surveys as an added value service cum compliance with PIAM requirements and continuously building good rapport with clients.
  4. Monitor and control closely all referral / decline/ exceeding GBD risks acceptance authority and seek approval in advance to meet underwriting or WAST Treaty requirement.
  5. Responsible to comply with Rules and Regulations set by Company, Insurance Authorities and Bank Negara and oversee and monitor management of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism Compliance activities and education programme.
  6. Responsible on the Aging, credit control and all activities related to premium collection and to ensure all client files/ correspondent/ records are well filed and proper documentation.
  7. Provide and arrange training to team members to equip them with skills to service and develop business.
  8. To support superiors on ad hoc project as and when required

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, any field.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Sound technical knowledge in all classes of insurance

Possess good presentation and negotiation skills

Mature personality and able to work independently

Self-motivated

Team player and able to motivate fellow team members
