Job Title: Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer – Solar PV
Job Summary

The O&M Engineer is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of the company's solar power plants. This role involves monitoring daily operations, conducting data analysis, leading maintenance activities, and providing technical support to enhance system performance. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership in troubleshooting, and proactive planning to maintain high standards in operations and maintenance according to contractual and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily plant performance, record data, and report faults or abnormalities.
  • Conduct analysis on plant performance (Performance Ratio, Acceptance Review, Specific Yield Ratio).
  • Prepare and submit O&M performance reports to clients.
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities including inspection, testing, minor repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead and supervise technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Check and ensure quality and standard of work done by technicians.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions for plant issues.
  • Prepare field operation reports and feedback for management review.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and ensure timely resolution.
  • Handle documentation and process for equipment warranty claims.
  • Assist in preparing O&M proposals, quotations, tenders, and budgets.
  • Prepare O&M manuals, training materials, presentations, and related documents.
  • Liaise with clients, project teams, and vendors on O&M matters.
  • Ensure calibration validity of testing equipment and manage equipment assignment.
  • Support colleagues during their absence and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in solar system operations and maintenance (experience in large-scale solar farms is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and monitoring software.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
