Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assists pharmacists in basic medication review of drug orders and communicates with the prescriber where needed.
  • Fills, checks, and dispenses drug supplies with accuracy and on timely basis.
  • Provides adequate information and instructions to the patients and Nursing staff (for inpatients) on the use of the medications during dispensing/drug supply.
  • Prepares extemporaneous preparations and sterile preparations using aseptic techniques.
  • Practice good customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Replenishes inventory held at Pharmacy and other designated areas of drug storage and ensures inventory accuracy by performing timely system updates.
  • Complies all medication safety protocols to achieve accuracy of prescription processing (charging, preparation, recording and checking).
  • Contributes to the smooth operation of all Pharmacy activities.

Key requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized colleges.
  • Listed in the Register of Pharmacy Assistant, Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
  • Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to attend to details with accuracy.
  • Ability to work as a team and willing to work shifts.
  • Proactive and demonstrates initiative.
  • Good computer knowledge.
