Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering / Safety/Health Management or its equivalent. Added knowledge on environmental safety will be on advantages.
  • Registered Safety & Health Officer with Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia (DOSH) and valid green book holder.
  • Minimum two (2) years of working experience Safety and Health activities
  • Familiar with Malaysia Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Legislation such as OSHA 1994, OSH (Amendment) Act 2022 & Factories and Machinery Act 1967
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills both in Bahasa and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure workplace safety & health compliance in line with OSHA 1994 and liaise with statutory bodies (DOSH, DOE, NPRA, BOMBA).
  • Conduct investigations, prepare reports on accidents/dangerous events, and maintain safety statistics for management review.
  • Develop, update and enforce Safety & Health policies, SOPs, manuals and related documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute internal/external safety audits and ensure timely CAPA closure.
  • Oversee CHRA, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines (noise, exposure limits, chemical handling, etc.).
  • Manage certification applications/renewals and prepare required safety assessment reports.
  • Conduct safety trainings, promote safety culture and monitor contractor activities to ensure safe practices.
  • Coordinate emergency response team and training (e.g. fire-fighting, emergency handling).
  • Liaise with DOSH for equipment/system registration (e.g. pressure vessels, steam sterilizers).
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Safety & Health Chairman, HR Manager or Safety Advisor.
