Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple departments including cafe, lounge, reception, beauty services and other facilities. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on management, and the ability to deliver consistent service excellence in a fast-paced lifestyle environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee and manage daily operations across all departments
  • Ensure all SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards are met consistently
  • Lead daily briefing, opening and closing procedures of the hub
  • Monitor operational workflows and implement improvements

Team Management

  • Supervise and coach frontline teams (cafe, lounge, reception, beauty)
  • Manage roster planning, attendance, and staff performance KPIs
  • Conduct training, onboarding, and skills development programs
  • Assist in recruitment and staff counselling when required

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock rotation for all departments
  • Monitor COGS, wastage, supplier pricing and usage reports
  • Work closely with management on budgeting and cost control
  • Maintain accurate reporting for suppliers, expenses, and operations

Reporting & Administration

  • Assist with weekly/monthly operational reports
  • Ensure compliance with labour, food safety, and hub regulations
  • Support management in strategic planning and new initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in cafe, bar, lounge, hospitality, or service operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing multi-department operations is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and long/rotating shifts
  • Strong understanding of F&B operations, customer service, and cost control
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven personality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM7,000.00 per month
