Barista cum Café Crew

Job Summary:

As a Barista cum Café Crew, you'll be the heart of the café — preparing quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while creating a warm and welcoming environment for customers. You'll represent the café's friendly atmosphere through great service, teamwork, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Beverage & Food Preparation

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages in accordance with café standards.
• Assist in preparing and serving light food items (e.g., pastries, sandwiches, or desserts).
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all items.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely.

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and take orders accurately.
• Recommend beverages and food items based on customer preferences.
• Handle feedback or complaints politely and professionally.

3. Cashiering & Sales

• Operate the sales system and process payments accurately.
• Handle cash and e-payments according to company procedures.
• Assist in daily sales recording and stock monitoring.

4. Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Maintain the cleanliness of the café, counters, equipment, and utensils at all times.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards as required by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
• Assist in restocking and inventory duties.

5. Teamwork & Café Support

• Support team members during busy periods.
• Assist in opening and closing duties.
• Participate in training to enhance product knowledge and service skills.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of working experience as a Barista or in a similar food and beverage role is preferred
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and café operations preferred.
• Must possess a valid Typhoid Injection Certificate (as required under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009).
• Passion for coffee, food, and customer service.
• Pleasant personality – friendly, cheerful, and always smiling.
• Well-groomed, neat, and presentable appearance.
• Enjoys meeting people and creating a positive café atmosphere.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
