Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer with a strong background in the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of combined industrial and sales experience, demonstrating the ability to bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and customer needs. This role requires an individual who is willing to travel to service a diverse client base and drive significant business growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise throughout the sales process, managing key accounts, and achieving ambitious sales targets within the defined territory or industry segment.
Technical Consultation & Solution Design:
- Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team, understanding and articulating customer requirements for industrial equipment, systems, or services.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions or develop proposals that meet specific client operational needs.
Sales Execution & Growth:
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, utilizing technical knowledge to qualify leads and move opportunities to close.
Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender responses.
Negotiate contract terms and pricing, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Market and Account Management:
Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers (engineers, procurement, management) within target industrial accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: 4 to 8 years of combined experience in technical sales and/or industrial engineering/operations. Experience selling complex industrial products, automation, machinery, or systems is highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial) or a related technical field.
Mobility:
Must be willing and able to travel extensively (estimated 50%+ travel) within the assigned territory.
