1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist the Project Manager in developing the project schedule, cost plan, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with consultants (architects, engineers, QS, etc.) during the design and construction phases to ensure design intent, constructability, and compliance with regulations.
  • Support in tendering, evaluation, and award of contractors and suppliers.

2. Construction Management

  • Monitor and track construction progress against the project schedule.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that works conform to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical and site issues promptly.
  • Review and verify contractor claims, variation orders, and progress payments.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, statutory requirements, and company standards.
  • Review material and method statements for approval and ensure proper implementation on-site.
  • Coordinate quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes with site and consultant teams.

4. Budget & Cost Control

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and cost performance.
  • Identify potential cost savings, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support in reviewing and validating variation claims and contract changes.

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with local authorities for permits, approvals, and inspections.
  • Communicate with internal departments (design, procurement, sales, customer service) to align project milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide project updates and progress reports to management.

6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure contractors comply with HSE regulations and company safety policies.
  • Participate in safety meetings, site audits, and enforcement of corrective actions.

7. Handover & Defects Management

  • Support the testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
  • Coordinate defect rectification works during the defect liability period (DLP).
