About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager (Metal Stamping) to join our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Senai, Johor. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the metal stamping production line, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes to meet production targets and exceed customer expectations.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs such as OEE, downtime, and scrap rates.
  • Troubleshoot production delays, quality issues, and equipment failures.
  • Supervise night shift operations and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews, training, and coaching.
  • Manage disciplinary actions and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and OSHA standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production and safety documentation.
  • Enforce safety policies and conduct risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate on process improvements and adoption of new technologies.
  • Report shift performance and ensure smooth handovers.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Diploma in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a production management role.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to work independently.
