Job Title: Junior Cyber Security Engineer

Experience Required: 6 months to 2 years

Location: On-site (Bangsar South, Malaysia)

Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Cyber Security Engineer to support our security operations and help strengthen our overall security posture. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to grow, learn, and work across different areas of cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring security events, alerts, and incidents.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, assessment activities, and follow-up remediation.
  • Help maintain security tools, dashboards, and documentation.
  • Participate in incident response activities under senior guidance.
  • Conduct basic threat analysis and report findings.
  • Assist in enforcing security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support security operations and improvements.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security support.
  • Basic understanding of SIEM tools, endpoint security, network security, or vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with security concepts such as threats, risks, and incident lifecycle.
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, CEH, or similar) are an added advantage.
