About the role

Hii King Hiong & Co. (Miri branch), a well-established accounting firm, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team in Miri, Sarawak. As an Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality audit services to our diverse client base. What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and lead audit engagements, ensuring adherence to professional standards and firm policies
2. Manage audit teams, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff
3. Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate audit strategies and plans
4. Perform detailed testing of financial transactions and balances, and document findings
5. Analyse and interpret financial data, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
6. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to clients
7. Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to address audit-related queries and concerns
8. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2. At least 3-5 years of experience in external audit, preferably with a reputable accounting firm
3. A professional accounting qualification, such as CPA or ACCA, is highly desirable
4. Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant laws and regulations
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify key issues
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members
7. Proficient in using audit software and data analytics tools
8. A team player with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff
9. Willingness to travel to client sites as required
