Position Summary:

The Production Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely flow of materials, parts, and components to meet production schedules. This role plays a key part in preventing production delays by coordinating with internal teams to resolve material shortages, expedite deliveries, and maintain continuous production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production schedules and ensure materials are available to meet plan requirements.
  • Track and follow up on material shortages and discrepancies on the production floor.
  • Liaise with Warehouse (Kitting) and the Master Planner to expedite material and component deliveries.
  • Review and analyse the MRP report to ensure all required materials, components, and resources are available for timely and efficient production readiness.
  • Escalate supply constraints and potential bottlenecks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Adjust priorities to meet production deadlines and urgent order requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movement and expediting activities.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production flow, materials management, and efficiency.

  • Re-prioritize and coordinate material deliveries to align with changing production needs.
  • Recommend corrective actions to address supply issues and avoid delays.
  • Influence short-term scheduling adjustments through effective coordination and communication.

3.     Goal Alignment:

  • Ensure all required materials and components are delivered on time to support uninterrupted production and meet customer delivery commitments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Production Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in production coordination, material control, or supply chain management.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of production scheduling and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Fluent in English and Malay (written and spoken).
