Key Responsibilities:

Rapid Solution Building & Go-to-Market (GTM) Focus

  • Lead Rapid Deployment: Own the speed-to-market for new solutions. Creatively use Firebase Studio (or similar rapid application development tools) to build and deploy functional MVPs in days to capture emerging business opportunities.
  • Business-Driven Development: Work directly with the Head of Product to translate business goals (new apps, new revenue streams) into tangible, live products, ensuring every solution has a clear path to immediate value.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of prototypes, from ideation and design partnership to deployment and initial user testing.

Technical Balance & AI Integration

  • Best Practice Integration: While moving fast, intentionally maintain best practices for code structure, documentation, and API integration to ensure prototypes are easy to read and debug for future maintenance and scale.
  • AI Value Creation: Integrate relevant AI and Machine Learning (ML) services (e.g., Google's Vertex AI, Firebase ML Kit, or internal Carsome models) into the applications to create intelligent, data-driven solutions for workflow automation and operational efficiency.
  • API Integration: Work closely with the engineering teams to integrate prototypes with existing iCarAsia and Carsome platform APIs, ensuring robust data consumption and authentication.

Collaboration & Iteration

  • Design Partnership: Collaborate with designers to ensure MVPs are visually intuitive and adhere to a high standard of user experience (UX).

  • Knowledge Transfer: Systematically document and transfer successful MVPs and established best practices to the core engineering team for production hardening and scaling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Proven expertise in Firebase Studio (or strong equivalent experience with platforms like Retool, FlutterFlow, or similar low-code/no-code rapid development tools).
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience integrating cloud-based AI services into applications.
  • Proficiency in modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a strong commitment to delivering iterative value.
  • Experience within the automotive, e-commerce, or classifieds industry.
  • Familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
  • Experience transitioning solutions from an MVP stage to a full-scale production environment.
