Our mobile app is already developed and live, and we are preparing for a bug-free, stable wider public release. We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead debugging, performance optimization, and system maintenance to ensure a smooth, scalable, and fully optimized user experience.

Your Role at Insura

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing, debugging, and maintaining our mobile applications to ensure they are bug-free, scalable, and user-friendly.

Mobile App Development: Enhancing & Maintaining Insura's Flutter App:

• Maintain and optimize cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
• Utilize Android Studio & Xcode for debugging, testing, and deploying mobile apps.
• Keep apps updated with the latest OS requirements (e.g., iOS minimum version changes).
• Implement responsive and high-performance UI/UX that adapts across devices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in mobile development.

API & Payment Gateway Integration

• Collaborate with backend teams to design, develop, and integrate APIs for new mobile features.
• Troubleshoot API issues to ensure seamless app-to-server communication.
• Implement and manage Stripe payment gateway, ensuring secure transactions and compliance.
• Debug payment failures, transaction issues, and authentication problems.

Cloud & DevOps Management

• Manage AWS-based backend infrastructure to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
• Optimize server performance and API response times for a seamless experience.
• Implement security best practices, including authentication, encryption, and firewall protections.
• Monitor real-time performance logs and troubleshoot downtime issues.

App Publishing & Store Compliance

• Prepare and publish updates on the Apple App Store & Google Play Store.
• Troubleshoot App Store rejection issues, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines.
• Keep track of SDK updates, OS compatibility changes, and dependency upgrades.
• Optimize app visibility through App Store Optimization (ASO) techniques.

Testing, Debugging & Quality Assurance

• Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure app stability and performance.
• Use Browser Stack Mobile to simulate cross-device testing.
• Identify and fix crashes, UI bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Improve error handling and logging mechanisms for early issue detection.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure seamless integration of development efforts with business goals.
• Monitor app analytics and user feedback to implement feature enhancements.
• Document technical processes, APIs, and troubleshooting steps for team knowledge-sharing.
• Mentor junior developer and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 2+ years of experience in mobile app development with Flutter, Dart, Android Studio, and Xcode.
• Proven track record of publishing and maintaining mobile applications for Android & iOS.
• Experience integrating APIs & payment gateways, particularly Stripe.
• Strong background in AWS services for hosting and backend management.
• Prior experience troubleshooting App Store/Play Store rejection issues.
• Proficiency in Flutter, Android Studio, and Xcode.
• Hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure, server management, and API hosting.
• Strong understanding of secure authentication, encryption, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with debugging tools, performance testing, and crash analytics.
• Familiarity with testing tools like Browser Stack Mobile.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for mobile app development and staying updated with emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO) strategies is a plus.
