We are searching for capable and trustworthy GRADE 6 CAMBRIDGE CHECKPOINT English Teacher to join our excellent faculty.

The English teacher's responsibilities include developing interesting lesson plans and curricula, collaborating with other teachers, completing student assessments, and addressing any performance issues. You should be able to teach students from varied cultural backgrounds and handle English lessons with flair

Core responsibilities

  • Instruction and planning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English, aligning with the Cambridge curriculum for Grade 6. This includes creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Curriculum and assessment: Develop and adapt teaching and assessment materials to meet student needs and the requirements of the Cambridge curriculum. Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and prepare students for the Checkpoint examination.
  • Student support: Monitor student performance, provide guidance and support to help them improve their skills, and foster their self-esteem and autonomy.
  • Administration and collaboration: Complete administrative tasks related to teaching and student progress, such as updating records. Work with other teachers, teaching center management, and administrative staff to support the overall program.
  • Professional development: Engage in professional development activities to ensure high standards in teaching and stay current with best practices in English language teaching.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Experience teaching Year 6 Checkpoint or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the Cambridge English curriculum.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt materials.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
  • A bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field is often required.
  • Experience in classroom management is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
