Senior Barista

1. Beverage Expertise & Preparation

• Prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages with consistency in taste, presentation, and speed.
• Create and refine beverage recipes according to café standards.
• Conduct routine calibration of grinders and ensure accurate coffee extraction.

2. Shift Leadership & Supervision

• Lead and guide Baristas and Café Crew during daily operations.
• Oversee workflow to ensure smooth service, especially during peak hours.
• Provide on-the-job training to new hires or junior team members.

3. Customer Service Excellence

• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle special requests professionally.
• Resolve customer concerns or complaints tactfully and efficiently.
• Build rapport with regular customers to enhance café experience.

4. Cashier & Transaction Oversight

• Handle cashiering duties and support team members in POS operations.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliation at shift end.

5. Store Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of coffee bar, machines, workstations, and customer areas.
• Assist in scheduling opening and closing tasks according to café SOP.
• Monitor daily inventory levels (coffee beans, milk, syrups, consumables) and report or request replenishment.

6. Equipment Management

• Conduct daily cleaning of grinders, espresso machines, steam wands, and related equipment.
• Report technical issues and arrange servicing when required.

7. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all drinks and food served meet company standards.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene practices, and operational SOPs at all times.

8. Team Communication & Coordination

• Collaborate closely with the Café Manager on stock planning, promotions, menu updates, and team issues.
• Provide feedback on staff performance and operational improvements.

9. Hygiene & Safety

• Ensure all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices comply with company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure food is handled, stored, and prepared safely.
• Ensure staff follow proper handwashing, glove usage, and cleanliness protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and surfaces to prevent contamination.
• Adhere to safety guidelines related to hot equipment, sharp tools, and chemical usage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
