About the role

Join HKC UNITY SDN BHD' as a Site Engineer on a contract basis. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction activities at our project site in Johor Bahru, Johor. Your strategic oversight will ensure the timely and successful completion of our civil and structural engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets and timelines
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that arise
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain detailed records of progress, quality control, and safety
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to resolve construction challenges
  • Supervise and mentor a team of construction workers, technicians, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction management role
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects within budget and on schedule
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Familiarity with construction software, such as AutoCAD, Project Management tools, and BIM software
