HIRING: KITCHEN CHEF

LOCATION: TOPPAN, ISKANDAR PUTERI, HORIZON HILL GOLF CLUB

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Kitchen Chef to lead our culinary team. YOU will be the engine of our kitchen, responsible for executing our menu to the highest standards, maintaining impeccable cleanliness, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment. You are passionate about food, a nature leader, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation & Cooking:

  2. Execute all menu items with precision, consistency, and speed during service.

  3. Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and other prep duties as required.
  4. Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and plating guidelines.
  5. Manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  6. Oversee food storage, rotation, and labeling to minimize waste (FIFO - First In, First Out).

  7. Quality & Consistency Control:

  8. Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen meets our strict standards for taste, presentation, and quality.

  9. Conduct regular taste tests and visual inspections.
  10. Maintain portion control to manage food costs effectively.

  11. Kitchen & Station Management:

  12. Take full responsibility for your assigned station (e.g., grill, sauté, garde manger).

  13. Keep your station stocked, organized, and clean throughout the shift.
  14. Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and report any maintenance issues.
  15. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.

  16. Safety & Sanititation:

  17. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles).

  18. Maintain a spotlessly clean work environment, including work surfaces, floors, and equipment.
  19. Follow proper personal hygiene and uniform standards.

  20. Teamwork & Communication:

  21. Collaborate effectively with other chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff.

  22. Communicate clearly and calmly during peak service hours.
  23. Support and guide junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of learning and respect.
