About Us

HaloVega Solar is a fast-growing solar cell manufacturing startup located in Perai, Penang. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated EHS Engineer to drive environmental, health, and safety compliance across the plant and support the development of a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, HIRARC, chemical assessments, and safety inspections across all production and facility areas.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH, Fire Safety, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Coordinate emergency response programs, drills, and safety training for employees.
  • Manage hazardous waste handling, chemical storage, scheduled waste disposal, and environmental monitoring.
  • Work closely with Production, Process, Equipment, and Facility teams to ensure safe operations.
  • Prepare monthly EHS reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Promote safety awareness, 5S, and a strong EHS culture across all departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Preferably with experience in solar cell, semiconductor, or manufacturing EHS functions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FMA, EQA, and other Malaysian EHS regulations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Fresh graduates with EHS internships are encouraged to apply.
