Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mixologist with strong communication skills and an excellent knowledge of wines, liquors, spirits, and classic cocktails. The ideal candidate will greet guests warmly, understand their preferences, make recommendations, and prepare and serve beverages and food with flair and precision.
You will also be responsible for creating new drink recipes, ensuring proper use of equipment and ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness in your work area. To succeed in this role, you should present a neat appearance and possess an engaging, friendly, and professional personality. You must be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and genuinely guest-focused.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Guest Service & Beverage Expertise
- Welcome guests warmly, actively listen to their preferences, and make personalized beverage recommendations.
Operations & Inventory
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
- Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and service areas are adequately stocked.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper billing and balancing of the cash register.
Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and quality standards, as well as all local and federal alcohol service regulations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of quality food, beverages, and service in line with restaurant standards.
Teamwork & Leadership
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service.
- Train, guide, and support junior staff to enhance their technical and communication skills.
- Delegate tasks effectively and follow up to ensure completion.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations and any assigned tasks.
Professionalism & Brand Representation
- Maintain a professional appearance, language, and behavior in line with brand standards.
- Represent and uphold the restaurant's brand image and values at all times.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints tactfully, with empathy and timely resolutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and continuously develop your mixology and service skills.
- Care for and maintain all restaurant equipment and assets under your responsibility.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and contribute to team goals.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails, ensuring the quality and presentation of all beverages and food items meet restaurant standards.
- Plan and promote drink menus, introduce new beverages, and inform guests of specials and promotions.
- Check guest identification to ensure compliance with legal age requirements for alcohol service.
- Provide attentive, engaging, and professional service to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
