Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Deputy Manager, Planning, located in Sitiawan, Perak. The role is responsible for leading and managing overall planning functions, including supply chain, production, inventory control, shipping, and logistics. The Deputy Manager, Planning will be instrumental in optimizing supply chain performance through efficient systems, standardized processes, and data-driven decision-making. This position requires strong collaboration with sales, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order execution and continuous improvement in operational efficiency and service delivery.

Core Responsibilities:


• Oversee supply chain planning, production planning, inventory control, shipping, and logistics activities to ensure effective and efficient operations.


• Establish and implement planning systems such as MPS (Master Production Schedule), JIT (Just-In-Time), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and LSS (Lean Six Sigma) to drive operational excellence.


• Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance and customer satisfaction.


• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and action plans for process standardization and alignment with industry best practices.


• Design and maintain a dynamic replenishment model that optimizes cost, lead time, quality, and inventory levels.


• Manage inventory across raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods, ensuring timely clearance and reduction of slow-moving or obsolete stocks.


• Drive automation and digitization initiatives to streamline manual processes and enhance data visibility.


• Lead, mentor, and coach team members to achieve departmental KPIs and support their professional growth.

Experience Desired:


• Degree in any related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent).


• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in supply chain or production planning roles.


• Proven expertise in supply chain management, production scheduling, and inventory optimization.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).


• Experience implementing planning systems and process improvement methodologies (e.g., MPS, MRP, Lean, Six Sigma).


• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
