QA Technician

Job Description

• Program, set-up and operate a wide variety of inspection and test equipment including CMM with PC-DMIS software, optical comparator and computer assisted precision measurement instruments
• Conducting validation activities, as required
• Requires advance mechanical aptitude including ability to read and interpret dimensions, tolerances, and assembly notes
• Perform calibrations and measurements traceable to the International System of Units (SI) using appropriate reference standards
• Conduct Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility studies, capability studies, and correlation studies
• Maintain accurate records and report results, including nonconformances, per procedures
• Determines and may develop measurement methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, models, and diagrams
• Performs detailed first article inspections of prototype and production parts
• Assist Engineers, Technicians and Customers with qualification and validation of new or revised parts or tooling

• Train other personnel in the use of metrology equipment and techniques

• Develop and maintain computerized databases of metrology information

Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures (IS) and specify measuring and test equipment required to perform the measurement.

• Undertake special projects as required by Quality Manager (QMR).
• Any other related tasks that may be assigned by superior as deemed appropriate.

Qualification

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's in any field
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the measurement intensive roles, including failure analysis.
• Preferably junior Executive specialized in Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent
• Technically competent and knowledgeable on ISO 9001, correlation study,
• GR&R, MSA, SPC, IATF core tools, GD&T, QC 7 tools, Quality plan, product and process knowledge in manufacturing field
• Good command of spoken & writing English for internal and customer communication
• Personal capability - professional conduct by:

• Immediate alert on problem and providing as much necessary information
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills of supervision, data analysis and familiar in problem solving methodology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
