Senior Specialist, Record to Report

Role Purpose :

To support the Finance team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records

through timely data entry, preparation of journal entries, and reconciliations. The role

contributes to smooth month-end closing, compliance with accounting standards, and

preparation of management reports.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process accounting data entries into the ERP/accounting system for general ledger, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals, prepayments, reclassifications) in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the fixed assets register (capitalization, depreciation, disposals).
  • Perform account reconciliations (general ledger, intercompany, accruals, suspense accounts).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparation of management reports, financial schedules, and analysis.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Provide support for internal/external audits, including preparation of audit schedules
  • and answering audit queries.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory
  • requirements (e.g., GST).
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in general accounting or accounting data processing (internship experience may be considered).
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MYOB, or similar).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
