Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Quality Control (QC) Executive to handle inspection activities, customer complaints, and coordinate basic machines maintenance schedules. His/Her role ensure quality standards are met and supports communication between production, technical, and HR teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality inspections and testing of work-in-progress and finished products to identify and address any non-conformances
- Records and analyzes inspection data, i.e. highlighting recurring issues, and prepare reports.
- Handles and respond to customers' complaints.
- Plans and monitors basic machines maintenance schedules (e.g., cleaning, preventive checks) and maintain accurate quality maintenance records.
- Coordinate with the technical/production team for servicing and follow-up issues.
- Collaborate with HR / Production team to updating/implement SOPs, work instructions, and quality control measures and recommend process improvements.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control best practices
- Assist in improving the working environment through quality initiatives.
Basic Machines/Moulds Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Perform daily routine checks before production (cleanliness, oil level, air pressure, etc.).
- Record and update the maintenance logbook and highlight any non-conformance to the Management.
- Identify and report abnormal machine conditions to the technical team.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and tools
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written & verbal).
- Familiar with basic preventive maintenance practices.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting.
Added Advantage:
- Experience with ISO standards or QA systems.
- Familiar with plastic manufacturing machines.
- Able to train and guide junior staff.
- Preferably candidates with strong experience in HDPE plastic container or jerrycan manufacturing.
- Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with the candidate's working experience.
