Junior Chemist

Job Description :

• To ensure all activities are in compliance with the International Management System Standards, i.e. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• To fully use PPE supplied by the management.
• To handle product development, cost saving, raw material evaluation, product application, trouble shooting and re-work activities.
• To support new product design and process development for product scale up as necessary.
• To collect data and identify all critical process control points and statistical methods to be employed.
• To provide technical support for the sales team and lead a product trial.
• Perform laboratory testing in a precise and reliable manner.
• To design testing methods.
• To provide product training and briefing to internal and external customers.
• To maintain a safe working environment by following lab safety protocols and ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and in chemical handling.
• To work within 5S methodology.
• To generate technical date sheet (TDS) & safety data sheet (SDS).
• To interface with institutions (private and government) for product testing/ certification.
• To conduct sample preparation as needed.
• To assist HOD in all administrative matters.
• To provide guidelines and advice to subordinates on procedures, quality assurance, equipment usage and all other matters related to the work/
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management with full accountability and responsibility from time to time.
