Job Responsibilities:

Concept Development

• Lead the end-to-end design process for performance or lifestyle collections, covering both apparel and select accessories
• Develop seasonal concepts, ensuring alignment with FILA's brand DNA while maintaining a balance between performance functionality and aesthetics
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to align on pricing strategies, margin targets and product hierarchy

Market & Trend Research

• Analyze and Conduct in-depth research on sportswear, athleisure and lifestyle trends through trend forecasting platforms, street style, influencers, and competitors

Technical Design

• Develop technical sketches and CADs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools
• Select performance-appropriate and suitable materials (moisture-wicking, breathable, stretch fabrics) and lifestyle fabrics with the right drape and feel
• Prepare comprehensive tech packs for sampling, including specifications for trims, prints, fit adjustments, and finishing details

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely and Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and efficient execution:
• Merchandising team to ensure feasibility and cost efficiency
• Marketing and Visual Merchandising team to ensure storytelling, lookbooks, and campaigns align with the collection
• Sourcing teams to identify new material innovations and timeline production schedule

Fit & Quality Oversight

• Conduct fit sessions to ensure perfect fit and functionality
• Implement necessary design modifications and ensure every garment adheres to FILA's quality and performance standards

Project Management

• Oversee and coordinate timelines for multiple capsule collections
• Ensure all deliverables are on track for seasonal calendars and production deadlines

Key Skills & Tools

• Demonstrated expertise in sportswear and athleisure design
• Strong understanding of functional fabrics and construction techniques
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar
• Strong illustration, tech pack and spec sheet skills

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or related
• Expertise in sportswear and athleisure design
