Job Summary

To oversee and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment, play structures, and facilities within Jungle Gym outlets across Malaysia. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for preventive maintenance programs, technical troubleshooting, contractor management and compliance with safety and regulatory standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests and team members.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all mechanical, electrical and structural systems within the playground and GP Meta Kart
  • Conduct routine inspections of play structures, slides, trampolines, arcade machines, GP Meta Kart, air conditioning, lighting and safety systems.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimum downtime and safe rectification.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and service records for audit and reporting.

2. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all facilities and equipment comply with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications and local authority standards (DOSH, BOMBA, etc.).
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Ensure playground safety mats, nets, and structures are inspected and maintained to prevent accidents.
  • Liaise with safety officers for regular audits and certifications.
  • Ensure all the new outlets opening is comply with the guidelines prior, during and after the renovation works.
  • Responsible in checking the fit out for the outlets.

3. Team & Contractor Management

  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and cleaners across outlets.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs, upgrades and procurement of parts.
  • Monitor contractor performance, cost and quality of work.
  • Plan and execute training for staff on equipment handling and emergency response.
  • Assisting in manpower requisition and recruitment when needed.

4. Budget & Asset Management

  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget covering spare parts, consumables, tools and service contracts.
  • Track inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Plan for equipment replacement and capital improvement projects.

5. Operational Support

  • Work closely with the Operations and Outlet Managers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Support new outlet setup and commissioning including installation and testing of play structures and systems.
  • Provide technical support during special events and refurbishments.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare monthly maintenance reports summarizing completed work, major breakdowns, preventive activities and cost analysis.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit and insurance purposes.
  • Implement digital maintenance tracking systems (if applicable).

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Facilities Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience preferably in theme parks, playgrounds, malls or hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems.
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Excellent planning, leadership and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work on weekends and respond to emergency calls.
