Job Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accurate accounting transactions, and supporting the finance department in maintaining proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Maintain full set of accounts, including AR, AP, GL, and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry into accounting systems.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation.

2. Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Verify, record, and process supplier invoices and staff claims.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely settlement.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and maintain vendor reconciliation.
  • Ensure all expenses are properly supported with valid documents.

3. Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Issue customer invoices and statements of account.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain customer aging report.
  • Record collections and deposits accurately.

4. Taxation & Compliance

  • Assist in preparation of SST submissions, income tax documents, and other statutory reports.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

5. Administrative & Support Tasks

  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents (physical and digital).
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or similar).
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Mandarin speaker is plus point

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Subang Jaya: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
