The Manager – IT Defense (OT) is responsible for leading the management, security, and lifecycle of Operational Technology (OT) systems across critical environments. This role ensures high availability, safety, and resilience of OT assets while aligning IT and OT security strategies to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage, secure, and maintain OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and DCS.

● Ensure operational reliability, performance, and compliance of all OT environments.

● Implement, monitor, and optimize cybersecurity controls and defense tools across OT systems.

● Lead incident response for OT-related security events—containment, investigation, and recovery.

● Integrate OT defenses with enterprise cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, local regulations).

● Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and system hardening for OT assets.

● Oversee configuration, documentation, and lifecycle management of OT infrastructure.

● Manage third-party vendors and security product partners related to OT defense technologies.

● Ensure service excellence through SLA and KPI monitoring, audits, and reviews.

● Conduct joint incident simulations and tabletop exercises with vendors.

● Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation between external providers and internal teams.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field.

● 6–10 years of experience in OT systems, ICS/SCADA, or industrial automation.

● Minimum 3 years in a leadership or project management capacity.

● Strong understanding of OT environments (SCADA, DCS, PLC, RTU) and protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, Profibus).

● Experience securing industrial networks, segmenting IT/OT environments, and mitigating OT-specific threats.

● Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001, PDPA, NACSA CNII, CAAM AVSEC).

● Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

● Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Preferred Skills & Certifications

● CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM10, RM18,000.00 per month
