Merchant Onboarding and Support Specialist

This hybrid role is designed to support the launch and growth of the Stablecoin payment scheme. The successful candidate will be part of the pioneer team, responsible for both merchant onboarding and support operations, with a strong focus on KYB compliance, Web3 familiarity, and Stablecoin Payment Gateway workflows.

Location: Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Malaysia

What you'll be working on:

  • Customer Success & Merchant Onboarding

  • Conduct Know Your Business (KYB) checks for merchants and exchanges

  • Review corporate documentation, UBO structures, and risk profiles
  • Coordinate onboarding with compliance and legal teams
  • Ensure smooth activation and post-onboarding support for merchants

Customer Support & stablecoins Payment Operations

  • Handle B2C and corporate transaction inquiries via chatbot and live support
  • Monitor and escalate unresolved chatbot issues
  • Support stablecoins payment operations, including basic troubleshooting and transaction tracing
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve support workflows

Risk Control & Compliance

  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and escalate as needed
  • Maintain audit trails and support regulatory reporting
  • Assist in implementing AML/CFT controls and fraud detection mechanisms

What we're looking for:

  • Fluent in Business Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong understanding of KYB/KYC, AML/CFT principles
  • Experience in customer support tools (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom)
  • Basic knowledge or strong interest in blockchain, Web3, or stablecoins
  • Familiarity with payment systems or stablecoins onboarding is a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable with shift work and remote collaboration

Additional Information:

  • This position is a 1-year contract with potential renewal and guaranteed completion bonus rewarded upon completion of 12-months.
  • Monthly allowances up to RM1000 for attendance and KPI.
