Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain security-first data pipelines with embedded encryption, access controls, and audit trails to enable secure cross-functional collaboration.

  2. Design and implement data security strategies compliant with CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, covering the entire data lifecycle (collection, storage, transmission, usage, disposal).

  3. Lead data classification, dynamic masking, and RBAC/ABAC implementation for cloud-native architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

  4. Monitor data usage via tools like Apache Ranger/AWS Macie, detect anomalies, and mitigate security risks.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  2. 2+ years in data engineering + 1 year in data security, with proficiency in Python/Java/Scala, SQL, and tools like Spark/Flink/Kafka.

  3. Knowledge of US compliance frameworks (NIST Privacy Framework, FedRAMP) and hands-on cloud security experience (AWS IAM/S3 KMS, Azure Purview).

  4. Proven experience in securing data warehouses/lakes (e.g., Snowflake masking, Databricks Unity Catalog).

Preferred Qualifications:


• Certifications: AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP, CompTIA Security+


• Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture in data pipelines
