About the role

Our Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Executive to join their team in Bintulu, Sarawak. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of the company's operations. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace for all employees.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify and mitigate potential health, safety, and environmental hazards
  3. Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  4. Provide training and support to employees on HSE-related matters, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
  5. Collaborate with various departments to integrate HSE considerations into all business operations
  6. Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement
  7. Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on HSE compliance and initiatives

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role within the mining, resources, or energy industry
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field
  3. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive HSE management systems
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex HSE challenges
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation
  6. Thorough understanding of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver on HSE objectives
