About the role

Hume Cement Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Finance to join our growing team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time role will support the company's financial accounting and reporting functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls
  • Support the Finance Manager in the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
  • Mentor and develop more junior members of the finance team

What we're looking for

  • Qualified personnel with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and reporting
  • Strong technical skills in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of financial reporting software and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in the cement or manufacturing industry would be an advantage
