About the role
Konsultant SHC Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Resident Engineer / Inspector Of Works to join our team. This full-time position is based in Bintulu, Sarawak and will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction and infrastructure projects of the company.
What you'll be doing
- Monitoring and inspecting construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely project delivery
- Maintaining detailed records of project progress, quality control, and any deviations from the plan
- Conducting site visits, measurements, and testing to verify the quality of materials and workmanship
- Providing technical support and advice to the project team
- Preparing progress reports and documentation for management and clients
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 0-5 years of experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Inspector of Works in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and safety standards
