About the role
This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor position based in Kuala Lumpur. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in the Construction industry, providing expert cost management and procurement services to support the successful delivery of a variety of construction projects.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and analyse detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for construction projects
- Manage procurement processes and contractor selection to ensure best value is achieved
- Provide regular cost reporting and forecasting to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement cost savings opportunities
- Prepare and negotiate contract variations and claims
- Ensure project compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quantity surveying practices and procedures
What we're looking for
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction/ID/engineering discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration and cost management
- Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
- Registration with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) is preferred
