Location: Kuala Lumpur / EMEA (Remote – EMEA working hours)

Position: Senior Consultant / Manager (L4 Manager or equivalent)

Duration: 1-year contract, with strong potential for extension

Work Mode: Remote (based in Malaysia)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Global Functional Data Owner (GFDO) specializing in BP (Business Partner) and SD (Sales & Distribution) to join our global data migration initiative. This role will serve as the global focal point for all data objects within the assigned scope, collaborating across multiple teams to ensure successful data migration and system harmonization.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the global focal point for BP & SD data objects during migration, collaborating with Global Template BDOs, Functional Streams, Data Migration Developers, and Legacy Experts.

Gather functional specifications for data migration tools and ensure alignment with global design.

Provide test data sets for migration tool validation and testing.

Offer guidance on SAP ECC standard extractions, where applicable.

Own and maintain global templates/scripts (e.g., FSs (DDT), SATs, DVSs) including validation and verification methods, and authorization frameworks.

Review and approve SAT testing of data migration tools.

Advise business teams on data readiness and cleansing based on technical requirements.

Review and confirm defect resolutions related to global data migration tool design.

Conduct knowledge transfers to deployment and local Functional Data Owners.

Requirements

Proven experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA focusing on BP (Business Partner) and SD (Sales & Distribution) modules.

Strong understanding of data migration processes, including functional specifications, testing, and validation.

Experience managing global stakeholders across multiple regions (preferably in an EMEA environment).

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Ability to lead discussions, influence design decisions, and ensure data quality and consistency globally.
