Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, and coordinating with other hotel departments to provide high-quality guest experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Housekeeping Operations & Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeping staff, including room attendants and public area attendants.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

Guest Satisfaction & Service Quality

  • Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and prepared according to hotel standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services.
  • Ensure VIP and special requests are handled with extra attention to detail.

Training & Team Management

  • Train new and existing housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and hotel policies.
  • Motivate and guide team members to maintain high standards of service.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.

Inventory & Supplies Management

  • Ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and linens.
  • Monitor and control the usage of cleaning materials to avoid wastage.
  • Report damaged or missing items in guest rooms to the maintenance or front office team.

Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train staff on proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report any health or safety hazards immediately to management.

Coordination with Other Departments

  • Work closely with the front office team to manage room status updates.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs and maintenance of hotel facilities.
  • Assist in planning for high-occupancy periods, events, and VIP guest stays.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc matters assigned by superior and/or the management.
