The opportunity

Borri Asia Pacific Engineering Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of power protection solutions, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving new business development and maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to identify, nurture and convert new business opportunities in Asia Pacific market.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers and effectively manage the sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Develop new channel partners, distributors, and agents across the Asia Pacific region to expand market reach.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Promote and sell the company's products to both new and existing customers, ensuring continuous growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to potential customers' requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement targeted marketing campaigns to support sales efforts.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and contribute to the overall sales strategy of the organization.
  • Mentor and support the sales team to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree Engineering (Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years in Sales Engineering within the electrical, power system, or energy equipment sectors.
  • Experience with UPS related products is advantageous; background in solution/ system sales within the Oil & Gas and Power Plant industries will be considered.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and achieving exceptional results.
  • Ability to think strategically, identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Proficient in utilising sales automation tools and data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
