Safety & Health Coordinator

About the role

As the Safety & Health Coordinator at Advance Lube Enterprise Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees at our Kempas Johor location. This full-time position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

What you'll be doing

1-Develop and periodically review the company's Occupational Safety & Health policy.

2-Prepare annual OSH action plans, including training schedules, audits, and site inspections.

3-Ensure full compliance with all occupational safety and health laws, regulations, and industry standards.

4-Maintain accurate records such as incident reports, audit findings, and training logs.

5-Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Prepare detailed incident investigation reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.

6-Liaise with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) or other authorities when required.

7-Conduct routine safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

8-Organise and conduct OSH-related training for employees.

9-Ensure proper selection, distribution, and use of PPE among employees. Monitor PPE conditions and arrange for maintenance or replacements as needed.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an occupational health and safety role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
• Ability to think critically, analyze data, and implement practical solutions to complex safety challenges
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
• Relevant safety certifications or qualifications would be an advantage
